Long time, no photos..

"Casey, you haven't updated your website in a while.."

"Casey, get inspired, take some new photos!"

"Casey, don't lose your original passions and goals with photography.."

These were my daily thoughts for the last 5 or 6 months honestly. For a little while, I felt like I had overwhelmed myself with photography, but not in a passionate way. Photography became a job or a task, rather than something I genuinely enjoy. It's hard to make an art a job, it makes you lose sight of what you love about why you love it so much when it's just assignment after assignment. At least that's how it started to get for me with my 3 on campus photography jobs last semester. As well as working as a photographer for Six Flags over the summer.

But I think I'm finally at a point where I want to re-inspired. I want to enjoy what I do. I want to get back into photographing something daily or at least every other day. The other day in class we had to separate in groups and had to take a 'compelling photo' on campus. It was crazy how my mind starting moving and we came up with a pretty cool concept. It felt so good to be creative again. My group was like "where did you even come up with all of these ideas?" And I didn't even have an answer, but I was so glad that I actually HAD ideas.

So basically, here's to hopefully getting back into the right side of my brain - time to get creative again!
